Pakistan No Longer Among WC 2011 Hosts

In a way, we all knew that this was bound to happen — Pakistan have been removed among the list of nations that would co-host the World Cup 2011.

The tournament will now be co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

It is not as if these three nations don’t have any level of terrorism threat but things here aren’t as bad as they are in Pakistan.

For the uninformed — Pakistan’s national economy and security cover has literally collapsed and so the World Cup organizing authorities cannot be blamed for making such a decision.

We can only hope that nothing too extreme occurs across the remaining co-hosts because shifting a World Cup is not going to be as feasible it was for the T20 IPL 2 League.
