King’s XI Face An Aussie Problem
Priety Zinta, the co-owner of the Punjab King’s XI recently said that her team had the best batting line-up among all the IPL teams.
In a way, that does sound true since the side packs talents like Yuvraj Singh, Flintoff, Sangakarra and Simon Katich.
However, it seems that Ms. Zinta has comfortably forgotten that IPL is going to be played over a month and bowling too is important to win T20 matches.
This is where selecting many Aussies players for their IPL campaign is going to hurt King’s XI.
The strength of their bowling attack lies in Brett Lee and James Hopes and both are bound to return for national duty, after a few initial games along with their prolific opener — Shaun Marsh.
The response they say, is truly phenomenal and NRIs (non-resident Indians) from as far as the Caribbean will be flying in to watch the T20 extravaganza.
