Kasem is now all set to do his first radio show in Singapore in the month of March. The former TV host in an interview with Channelnewsasia.com said that he was about to sign for a deal for a new countdown show in US, when Class 95 FM suddenly approached him.

Kasem added that he had almost grew up in Singapore from 21 years to almost 26 due to which when the offer was made he could not say no. The TV host added that that he was here for four years as an MTV host and loved every single year.

Kasem while talking about Singapore said that when one leaves the place you realise how great the food is here and even the mix of different cultures makes it tremendous.

The actor while talking to the reporters said that he could not understand why some magazines insist on casting his participation in the event in bad light. Chen added that he did not mind but still did not understand why they wanted to turn his charitable deeds in to negative.

The actor clarified that he wanted to do this to do some charity and wasn’t attempting to offset the bad press he received post the photo scandal with a 16 year old model. Chen further insisted that he only wants to do charity work and did not need to clear his past.

The actor also said that he does not know what that means and does not even know what everyone will write.

The reason the singer stated that her husband was angry when she asked him to buy breakfast. The 33 year old singer has injuries on her head , chest, hand and neck.

Ani said that she called her husband to buy breakfast for himself as she was outside at that time. But when he returned home in Desa Rajang in Kuala Lumpur at 8 am on Thursday, he headed straight to the room and slammed her on the wall.

The singer said that he was saved as her brother arrived in time. Despite the incident the singer said that she does not want to comment much as she still wants to save her marriage as she has three children. Ani hopes that this will be a good lesson for her husband and will not behave this way in future.

Cheng entertained the crowd with her popular Mandarin ballads ‘Zhi de’ and ‘Zhong Sheng Mei Li’. Her performances also included some of the dance tracks like ‘Ding Ding Dang’, ‘Forgiveness’ and ‘Chotto’.

Chen while talking about his character Ou Jian Feng said that he is an ambitious martial artist who endured great hardship to get recognition. Feng in the series felt shortchanged b y life and resolved to prove that he is better than Song Ya Zai, the character played by Ng.

Chen even admitted that he had the same feelings towards Ng. The actor even said that there is some rivalry and he wants to prove that he is actually better than Ng.

Chen even revealed that they are competitors in real life and are also about the same age. The actor then went on to reveal that there is some kind of realness in the scenes that they share which he won’t deny.

The singer otherwise is known for his strong vocals, but revealed that the concert will be a rare opportunity for his to show off his dancing skills. Sky said that he has put a lot of effort in to his dancing.

The singer also said that he has hardly shown off his dancing skills due to which he is bit nervous. Wu also added that during his performance even if he does a mistake he shall face it and enjoy the experience.

While talking about his preparation for the tour, the singer said that he has quit smoking and drinking in the weeks leading to his concert so that he remains in a fit condition. The fans of the singer will be treated with 40 of his songs at the concert.

The Singapore Road Safety Council has expressed concern over the uncontrollable crowd at the shopping belt of the Orchard Road. The SRSC has said that, the festive atmosphere can distract the drivers which can lead to accidents.

The SRSC over the concern has appealed the pedestrians to cross at the designated crossings. The motorists have also been advised to be attentive at the traffic signs.

Due to the ‘Celebrate Christmas in Singapore’ event, some roads will be closed on 25th and 26th of December. Auxiliary police officers will be deployed at various junctions to help the traffic to move and also to help the motorists with directions. The SBS transit will increase its number of trips and also will extend its operating hours for the festive season.

The operation was undertaken at 2:30 am. Some 75 motorists were asked to take the breathalyzer test. 25 of them had failed the test and were arrested by the officers.

The arrested people were aged between 22 to 53 years and were mostly men. Some motorist’s alcohol level was twice the permitted level prescribed.

However according to the police, those who did not excedd the permitted level were also liable for a drink and drive offence as they were unable to control the vehicles. On conviction of drink and drive, the drivers can be barred for at least 12 months. The first time offenders may be fined up to S$5000 or can also be jailed up to six months.

After a 3.5% increase in the month of October, the consumer index rose to 3.8% in the month of November as the prices of goods inflated across the region. The index thus rose a 0.4% increase which was faster than the 0.1% increase in the month of October.

“While the usual suspects continued to drive inflation in November—including transport, housing and food costs—it should be noted that all major segments within the CPI basket are seeing price increases,” Standard Chartered Bank economist Alvin Liew said in a statement released.

According to Liew, such an inflation will be the toughest challenge for Singapore. However most of the economists are not expecting the Monetary Authority of Singapore to levy strict monetary policies before the next meeting in the month of April.
