The 32 year old singer was on January 27, spotted with the 20 year old actor along with a few mutual friends at the cinema. Moreover, the two were again seen a club, which sparked the rumours that they were dating.

But the Hsiao clarified that they were nothing more than friends and were not dating at all. On the other hand even Ko dismissed the rumours and added that there isn’t any thing scandalous between them and are just friends.

Chen even added that he does not have an opinion on dating an older woman. Elva is also known as a model who has done many commercials for several products in Taiwan. Hsiao has also worked as a spokesperson for Shiatzy Chen.

Riyo Mori is in the hot seat with People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) because she wears fur….she is promoting cruelty.

“As Miss Universe, you are expected to be a positive role model who sets a good example,” PETA said in a letter to Mori. “Prove that your beauty is more than skin deep.”

“By choosing to wear fur, not only are you directly responsible for the deaths of dozens of animals, you’re also sending a clear message to everyone who sees you that animals’ lives are less important than fashion.”

PETA also sent some links to Mori to gross her out.

As much of an activist I am NOT, I would go with PETA on this one.

Students of mine showed me some of the links in a presentation.

After watching them I wanted to strip down naked and wear nothing…think dog and cat farms in China…that sort of thing.

Cell phone blogs have become another source of funk, depression, for students in Japan…another reason to skip school maybe.

A junior high school girl posted defamatory comments on a cell phone blog which resulted in a 15-year old boy classmate going into a funk and missing school and whining to his mother and getting the police involved and…

The girls told the new student (boy) he was – “stupid” and “a facial lethal

weapon.”

When the boy posted the attacks by the girls on his blog, the girls threatened to force him to pay Y1.5 million….that would be more interesting to watch, I think.

The boy’s mom had to step in and contacted the school.

The girls finally apologized after the police also got involved.

Japan has problems with suicides…even in schools… Matters are not to be taken likely.

People used to call me names. And when I whined to my father, he responded with the ditty – Sticks and stones wil break my bones but names will never hurt me.”

It seems to me the kid could use some thicker skin, no?

“Well, if I yelled chocolate when I fell into the chocolate, nobody would come rescue me?”

These people not only fell into chocolate, they jumped in, stayed in, bathed in it, played in it and tried to throw other people out of it so they could remain in it.

Radiation Bankrupts Japanese Cattle Ranch

Agura Bokujo, operator of a cattle ranch in  Tokyo, became Japan’s biggest corporate failure this year after consumer fears over beef contaminated with radiation damaged sales,

bloomberg.com reported: “The closely held company in Tochigi prefecture had 433.1 billion yen ($5.6 billion) in liabilities, Tokyo Shoko said on its website today, citing Agura’s application for bankruptcy protection on Aug. 9.”

In its earnings report for the year ended March 2011, Agura had liabilities of 62 billion yen, said Kazufumi Masuda, a spokesman for Tokyo Shoko, which tracks corporate bankruptcy data.”

The discovery rattled consumer confidence after the government, which had assured shoppers that food sold in the market was safe, confirmed radiation contaminated beef had been sold in stores. Companies affected included Aeon Co., Japan’s biggest supermarket chain.”

“Radiation from Tokyo Electric Power Co.’s crippled Fukushima Dai-Ichi nuclear plant has entered Japan’s food chain in recent months, contaminating products from beef to milk and fish. Cattle with unsafe levels of radiation have been found in four Japanese prefectures after they were fed with hay contaminated with as much as 690,000 becquerels a kilogram, compared with a government safety standard of 300 becquerels.”

Fukushima nuclear plant

Tokyo Electric Power Co in a statement on Monday said it had monitored record high radiation at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant which was crippled by the quake and tsunami. Tens of thousands of people remain evacuated from homes, businesses and farms in a no-go zone around the plant.

TEPCO said radiation levels reached at least 10 sieverts per hour near the debris left between the number one and number two reactors of the plant at the center of the ongoing nuclear crisis.

Efforts to stabilize the worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl 25 years ago have continued since a 9.0 magnitude earthquake triggered a tsunami, sparking reactor meltdowns at the plant and spewing radiation into the environment.

The government has said radiation levels around the plant, which lies 250 kilometers from Tokyo, had fallen to “two-millionths” of the peak recorded March 15.

The previous record was three to four sieverts per hour monitored inside the No. 1 reactor on June 3.

“Three plant workers were exposed to a dosage of four millisieverts while they were monitoring radiation,” a TEPCO spokeswoman said. “We are still checking the cause of such high levels of radioactivity.”

The government and TEPCO say they remain on target to bring the reactors to a safe state of cold shutdown by January at the latest now that a water circulation system has been established.

An Italian Institute has also confirmed that the earth has indeed shifted 4 inches on the axis. The massive 8.9 magnitude earthquake knocked out Japan and it has created a huge shift in the north island of Japan. There are fears that more than 1000 people may have been killed in the tsunami.

Scientists explain the earthquake took place when the earth’s plate ruptured along a 400 kms long 160 kms wide crevice, as a result the entire tectonic plate slipped by almost 18 meters. This earthquake has now killed more than 600 people and 300 bodies have been found after the tsunami.
