Japanese Waitresses Strip Down to Prevent Workplace Sexual Harassment

One of the waitresses at a hot new restaurant in Tokyo says, “”We’d like salarymen who can’t normally be dirty with the OLs in their office to come down and enjoy a meal with us.”

A salaryman is a Japanese businessman, office worker. An OL is short for Office Lady.

A restaurant in Tokyo offers Shabu Shabu (thinly cut meat dragged through boiling water, then dipped in a sauce) and a feast for the patrons eyes.

The waitress (aged 21 or older) dress in OL attire and serve the businessmen byjapanese.office.lady.jpg hand. Prevented by law from undressing their colleagues, the weirdo businessmen can have their waitresses take off their office lady garments and change into something else or nothing.

This type of restaurant was made famous in the 90s bubble era when Ministry of Finance bureaucrats were taken by crooked bankers looking for underhanded deals and other things that could be found under garments.

The meal costs about 5,000 yen for 60 minutes. The diners can eat, drink and request garment changes as much as they want during that time.

And THIS…is supposed to keep the businessmen from giving the girls in their office a hard time!!??!

Giving men want they want in the form of nudity, stripping, girls on display is supposed to prevent them from wanting more from their co-workers?

Good grief.

But, as long as Japanese business as good, and men have money, and deals need to be struck, places like this Japanese restaurant will continue to do a hot business.
