WARNING – Do NOT Watch This Scene – Babel Makes Moviegoers in Japan Sick
Flickering lights in the award-winning movie “Babel” made several people sick enough to leave their seats in a movie theater in Nagoya.
Six women and one man felt the affect of the lights on different days.
The scene was when the deaf high school girl played by Oscar-nominated Rinko Kikuchi was dancing in a night club.
Maybe it was the dancing that made them sick….
The theater came up with the idea of handing out notes to moviegoers advising them to NOT continue to look directly at the screen during the scene.
One wonders…where are they to look then?
In a different theater in a far away galaxy, um, city, another woman in Mie prefecture got sick two hours into the movie.
I watch “Babel”…and it didn’t make me sick?
How about you?
