Toyota Motor Corp. has created a logistics management company in China for the purpose of consolidating distribution operations in the country and cutting costs.

Toyota hopes to sell as many as 1 million units in China each year within 5 years, more than three times what it sold in 2006.

Tong Fang Global Logistics Co., located in the Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone will do the managing.

Toyota holds 40% interest in the company.

FAW Group Corp has 35%.toyota.fuel.cell.car.jpg

Guangzhou Automobile Group has 25%.

The company has 40 employees, some supplied by Toyota and will:

1. handle automobile distribution

2. tackle autoparts logistics

3. provide consulting to partner distribution firms locally.

The Toyota way…quality, efficiency and economically.

Can anybody do cars better than Toyota?
