Toyota Motor Corp can produce cars with muscle, too.

Toyota unveiled the new IS F model of its luxury Lexus sportscar.

The sportscar goes for about $67,000 and can hit speeds up to 300 kph (190mph).

Of course, why anyone would need a regular car that can go that fast, I'll never know.

Grandson of the founder of Toyota, Akio Toyoda is the executive VP in charge of

Japanese sales said that Lexus, at just 3-years old, hasn't had time to become a 'premium brand' in Japan.lexus.is.f.jpg

"The Lexus must have the emotional factor of being exciting to drive," he said.

The IS F is a more powerful version of the IS model, already on sale. The "F" stands for fun….or Fat Fine if a cop caught you doing 300kph.

Why do car makers produce cars that can go over the speed limit anyway?

I always thought that cars should have governers on them to prevent them from exceeding the speed limit. In that way, our highway cops could turn their attention to more pressing crimes.

What do you think?
