Toyota Predicts Huge Sales For India In 2011 With The Launch Of Etios

Toyota India has seen a drastic increase in its car sales compared to sales sheet of the last year. This event has become crucial just as Toyota has announced the launch of a compact in the market called, Etios, in the 2011. Toyota Kirloskar Motors is looking forward to sell around 150000 vehicles in the year 2011, of which half of the total sales are expected to come from Etios.

Deputy Managing Director, Sandeep Singh, told the reporters that if the company decides to produce 70000 Etios models, then there would be a sales figure of 65000 to 67000 units of the same model. The manufacturing of the Etios car would take place at India’s second Toyota plant in Bangalore.

Toyota Japan is deciding to invest $103 million in the Indian market, for the production and transmission of the Etios. Toyota has been one of India’s favorite car company, with have being successful in its previous models like the Innova, Fortuner, Corolla, and the Camry, the company is looking forward to the good sales figures from its new model the Etios.
