Toyota Only Asian Company in Fortune 500 Top Ten

The new Fortune magazine Global 500 list will be published in the July 23rd issue.

The top ten are already known….and only one of them is an Asian company.

Big oil, America's big three car makers and even Wal-Mart are challenged by Toyota Motor Co.

The top ten

1. Wal-Mart

2. Exxon

3. Royal Dutch Shell

4. BP

5. General Motors.

6. Toyota Motors

7. Chevron

8. DaimlerChrysler

9. ConocoPhillips

10. Total

And Ford…still restructuring slipped to number 12 the first time in the 13 year history of the list Henry's legacy was not in the top ten.

But, Toyota…look at where Toyota sits.

And I remember when Popular Mechanics said that 'with 50 cars already on the market, Japanese car makers don't have a chance.'

The naysayers are prophesying the same thing about Chinese cars, too.
