Toyota, Mazda Face Massive Recalls

Toyota and Mazda are facing massive, well at least major recalls.

Toyota will recall 264,00 luxury passenger vehicles because of faulty fuel pipes…some of them its flagship Lexus.

Mazda will recall 184,000 Axela sedans because of an electric cable defect.

The faulty fuel pipes could cause cracks and corrosion as well as a fuel leak.

In the US, 26,274 Lexus GS300, 5,429 Lexus IS250, and 2,640 Lexus IS350 vehicles are being recalle.

So far, no injuries.

For Mazda – the  protective tube wrapping the cable can't take the engine's heat wear through making it im,possible to start the engine.

Mazda is an affiliate of Ford.

Toyota is facing more and more quality control problems as it tried to increase world wide production.

Why must quality be sacrificed at the expense of quantity?
