Toyota Holds on to Sales Target

Japan's Toyota Motors still expects to sell 9.34 million vehicles this year.

A sluggish Japanese market won't stop them.

Parts held up because of earthquakes won't stop them.

People buying GM, FORD or DaimlerChrysler hogs won't stop them.

Toyota is ahead of GM for the first time ever at the half way point of the year in global car sales. gm.toyota.gif

Toyota's main strategy…"contribute more to efforts against global warming and pollution by working on new technologies,

including plug-in hybrids" all while GM and FORD restructure.

When Toyota's president was asked about the prospects of being number one, he responded – "We must be thankful many customers are choosing to buy our products. Being No. 1 is a result of that."

Yup…Japanese businesses put their customers first…and that is why Toyota will be number one.

And even Toyota has to wait a year or two or three, the company still turns over much much more profit that GM will for a long time.

When do you think Toyota will over take GM? And by how much?
