Manly Monday brings to you news about Air Bags and Toyota

Today, we’re going to have more man appealing posts. It is afterall Monday and even though that bares no connection whatsoever to masculinity, I say it’s Manly Monday and we at East Asia Fair shall do ‘manly’ posts, end of story.

So next question, what’s more ‘manly’? Gadgets or weapons? I couldn’t decide on my own and no one was answering me at 2am so I flipped a coin and gadgets won. So lets begin with a more serious (though not necessarily more useful) invention:

Toyota Motor Corp.’s rear window air bags- an upgrade in protection for back-seat passengers.

This is how it is designed to work, the air bag is deployed from the roof lining above the rear window and will spread like a curtain to protect the heads of the rear passengers. According to Toyota, it is the world’s first and they will debut the safety gear in their  new “iQ” compact four-seater vehicle – Toyota’s answer to the Smart Car.

It’s tiny car! But we’re here to introduce the airbags in it…the photos of the car were just extras for you to drool over.
