Honda Asimo Robots Work in Pairs

Honda's Asimo roborts are working in pairs now.

One brings you tea and the other gets your slippers for you.

Honda has a system that links the robots together so they can share info about where each other is and what they are doing.

Asimo is supposedly getting 'smarter' too. It can recognize drink choices and carry a tray.

It can also navigate people better.

I wonder, could I have that intelligence technology installed in me?

Honda, Toyota, Hitachi Ltd., Fujitsu Ltd. and NEC Corp., are all developing robots at Tokyo's urging…to make up for the impending labor shortage, no doubt.

Asimo stands for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility.

Asimo can walk, jog, wave and carry on simple conversations.

Honda's Fundamental Technology Research Center wants an Asimo on every street corner by the end of the 2010s.
