Graduation ceremony killed at least 16 people in the Somali including ministers
A bomb explosion at a graduation ceremony killed at least 16 people in the Somali capital on the 3rd of December, the explosion also claimed lives of three ministers.
Two journalists and two professors also were killed in the explosion.
As far as around 50 people were injured due to the blast. The Education Minister Abdullahi Wayel, along with Health Minister Qamar Aden and Higher Education Minister Ibrahim Hassan Adow were killed in the explosion.
The sports Minister Suleman Olad Roble was hospitalized and is in critical condition.
The journalists that were killed in the blast were Mohamed Amiin Abdullah of Shabelle Media Network. A lot of news channels as well as CNN works with Shabelle Media.
Omar Faruk Osman, the Secretary General of the union, said
“This is an ominous reminder of the fact that this is not only a tragedy for the journalists but an assault on the peace and stability of Somalia and a threat to the security of its people,”
