Emmy Awards 2009

The 61st Prime Time Emmy Awards  takes place today in Los Angeles at the Nokia Theatre .

The 2009 Emmy Awards will be aired Live at 5:30 a.m. IST on Sunday, Sept. 21 on Zee Café.

Neil Patrick Harris – who is well known for his role in “How I Met Your Mother” – is the host of the Awards ceremony. He has also been the host for the 2009 Tony Awards and the TV Land Awards.

A big surprise this year is Tina Fey’s comedy series called 30 Rock, which is up 22 Emmy nods this year! This is followed by the drama called Mad Men which has a total of 16 nods.
