Another sweet tooth… yet? Here comes Wagashi…

The traditional Japanese confectionary is absolutely what you want! Its monotonous sugary flavor and natural based ingredients has always been the apple for every social class in Japan especially for those who are sugar-addicted and health-conscious. A typical wagashi is made up of rice, sugar, and red bean filling.

There is a lot of different types of wagashi if you really take a carefully at it. Wagashi are classified into 3 different types according to the production methods and the moisture content, which is Namagashi (wet confectionary), Han Namagashi (Half wet confectionary) and Higashi (dry confectionary).
