The US Intelligence Agency reports reveal that Pakistan’s Intelligence agency, the ISI, is the backbone in providing financial aid, training and arming the Taliban rebellion in Afghanistan since 2004. This has now brought light on some of the most sensitive issues in ongoing war against terrorism in Afghanistan.

The files have exposed one of the dirties reports and incidents during the war since 2001, which includes top officials from the ISI, who are training these rebellions to attack. It is even seen in these reports that ISI had reportedly supplied some 1000 bikes to the Taliban warlord Jalaludin Haqqani. The worst part of these reports are that the Intelligence depended on local informers who were not authentic in the information, secondly there are even notings of incidents and killings that haven’t occurred.

One of the retired American officers, stated that these reports are mixed bad of rumors and second hand information, getting out really facts from these files has a very slim chance. Another former Deputy from the EU who had been posted in Afghanistan, stated that variability of having false information moving around there was huge, the chances of anyone getting misled is pretty much big.

It has been from a long time that the US and the British government have been asking the ISI to pull out the Taliban completely from their country, but rather there was little or no effect at all. One of the officials from the CIA even visited Islamabad and convinced the ISI there that, the CIA has proof of that the ISI even carried out a suicide attack on the Indian embassy in Afghanistan. They have phone conversations between the ISI officials and Talibani rebellions.
