17-year old trades iPhone for Nissan 350Z and 3 8gb iPhones

A 17-year old in San Francisco hacked the iPhone so that it could be used with cellular networks other than AT&T.

The boy reached a deal with CertiCell of Kentucky to swap the rigged phone for 3 more 8gb iPhones (to be hacked and traded later) and a Nissan 350Z.

Of all the cars in the world, or maybe on the trading block, the boy

chose the Japanese made 350Z.

The hacking took about 500 hours of work – 8 hours a day since the launch of Apple’s iPhone on June 29th.nissan.350z.jpg

The three new iPhones are for online collaborators who helped him.

The boy was promised a consulting job….and plans are underway to commercialize his discovery.

Gee…and I sure am wishing I had studied harder in school.

Meanwhile, girls are lining up to take a ride in the geek’s new car.
