Giant Plaxico Burress Shot – Details, Questions
New York Giant Plaxico Burress has been shot. We wonder if there was a clause in his contract about accidentally shooting himself. The contract writers probably foresaw skateboarding, pick up games of basketball, but an accidental shooting?
The shooting apparently happened at a nightclub in Manhattan. Um, and why did he think to have a gun with him at the nightclub?
He was taken to a local hospital and he spent the night there.
Burress wasn’t scheduled to make the trip with the team because of a hamstring injury. Since when do injured players not take trips with their team? I mean, what about cheering on the sidelines? I suppose he’ll want his team cheering for him during his recovery. But, then they won’t be required to make the trip.
Burress received a five-year, $35 million contract extension hours before the season opener. The only problem with him making this much money is somebody will pay him that much. Shame on you NYG!
Shame on NYG fans who will pay ticket prices, buy memorabilia so people like Burress can be paid such a salary.
Burress has drawn multiple fines from the Giants. Surprised?
He was fined $45,000 from the league for criticizing the officials after a game. What’s $45K out of $35 million. That’s like a person making $35K a year being given a parking ticket and fined $45. Big deal.
Courts have been throwing out domestic disturbance charges, one after the other.
The Giants in Japan…don’t have this kind of problem. The Sumo Giants don’t cause this kind of problem either.
Time for Burress to give his salary back and go find another job.
