Thai Boxer, Samson Sor Siriporn, Beats Japan’s Ayaka Miyano to Get Out of Jail

Thai boxer, Samson Sor Siriporn, make that female Thai boxer, Samson, was in jail serving a seven year sentence until she beat Japan’s Ayaka Miyano for the world light-flyweight title.

As a reward for her victory, three years was knocked off her seven year sentence for selling amphetamines.

Of course, not everyone agreed with the early release…does everybody ever agree on anything?

I mean even Nolan Ryan wasn’t unanimously elected to the hall of fame, or Cal Ripken or…

Samson was a first time offender who had grown up in a poor family in Bangkok.

The young, um, lady, will continue to train at the prison and live in a house provided by prison authorities.

She also has to check in once a month.

She lost the title to Japan’s Nanako Kikuchi last year.

With an incentive like getting out of jail early, she surely would have been tough to beat.

Someone should have told Japan’s champ, Ayaka Miyano, that if she lost, she would have to serve out Samson’s sentence.

THEN, it would have been a serious bout.
