I guess I was a bit surprised at who was on top of the list of best selling laptops/notebooks in Japan and who else was in the list.

Acer of Taiwan was tops. Found by a majority of online searches (42% searched online for a mini notebook PC says iShare).

What made Acer most attractive -

1. price - 70%

2. design - 35%

3. battery duration - 26%

4. weight - 15%

What Japanese seek most in a mini notebook -

1. weight (or less of it)  - 81%

2. long operating time - 74%

3. durability - 48%

4. including MS office - 35%

Excuse me while I go check out the Acer mini notebook.
