World’s Largest BBQ

Yum! I love BBQ Japanese style. Korean BBQ is great, too. But, maybe, just maybe I am missing out on something in Paraguay.

A Paraguayan BBQ was held in an attempt to break the record for the world’s largest BBQ.

Some 30,000 people showed up to feast on 28,000 kilograms of beef. That’s more than 2 pounds per person.

The BBQ pit was 60 meters wide by 100 meters long (about the size of a football field.)

I wonder if Armadillo Willy’s is reading this? And, I wonder again, how much BBQ sauce did they use.largestbbq.jpg

The answer to how much barbecue sauce they used is NONE. Actually i doubt you could find barbecue sauce at Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay since we like our meat the way it is. it is by far tastier than most other meats and we think that barbecue sauce and other useless condiments like those take the flavor of the meat away. You arent probably sure what meat really tates like anymore.. Might as well just squirt BBQ sauce into your mouth and say you are eating meat….

Greetings! John from Armadillo Willy’s BBQ here. Yes, I did read this and it’s pretty impressive. RT from Paraguay notes that in his country barbecue sauce is not really used as it can mask some of the flavor of the meat. Some folks in Texas feel the same about their barbecue. At Willy’s we serve sauce on the side and leave it up to the customer whether or not to use it. Most do with sandwiches but lot’s do not use sauce on plates.
