Fighting About Sex Slaves – Again

Historians are saying that Japan compelled up to 200,000 women, mostly Chinese and Korean, to become sex slaves.

Japanese scholars are blaming private contractors for doing the dirty.

China is saying, “I believe the Japanese government should face up to this part of history, take responsibility, seriously view and properly handle this issue.”

Japan’s prime minister says, “”it was not as though military police broke into peoples’ homes and took them away like kidnappers.” sex.slave.jpg

South Korea has already described the PM’s remarks as “not helpful.”

The US is considering, “a non-binding resolution calling on Tokyo to ‘formally acknowledge, apologise and accept historical responsibility’ for the treatment of the women.”

Many of the former comfort women want compensation from the Japanese government for what they went through.

Compensation…it’s always about money.

When people are wronged, they should be compensated accordingly. However, somehow, I think that statute of limitations has long expired on this Japanese crime.

Do you think Japan should be held accountable for crimes committed 60 years ago?
