World’s Most Costly Movie Tickets…Shinjuku Piccadilly
Want to see a movie? Indiana Jones? Sex and the City? Want to break the bank while you watch?
Japan's movie studio Shochiku Co. is opening a multiplex theater with two private rooms with high-end sofas.
Two people can rent the rooms for Y30,000 ($300ish).
The movie house will open on July 19th. There will be 10 screens each with platinum rooms for private viewing.![]()
Too steep - there will also be 22 special seats from European furniture makers for just Y5,000 ($50ish).
Books and other resources will be available while watching the film. For what nobody knows. Champagne, too.
The only problem with charging that much for these seats is that somebody is bound to pay it.
