Japanese Body Language - 気が狂う

気が狂う[きがくるう, ki ga kuruu] go crazy; be crazy

Sadly, I have heard this phrase said to me too often.

"Are you nuts, Bill?"

"Are you out of your mind, Bill?"

"Are you off your rocker, Bill?"

"Are you crazy, Bill?"

Yup, all of them would be translated the same way, using this phrase.

Use it carefully, however. It does mean you think the person is crazy and not always in jest.
