Covering the economic and industrial might of Japan

Living in Japan has its difficulties. Luckily we have sites to instruct and educate us.

What educational sites are out there? Which ones are your favourites? Be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments section.

Today we will split Japan-related educational sites into three (broad) types:

1. sites that give Japanese language instruction,

2. sites with general information about Japan,

3. sites that are guides to life in Japan.

Did I miss anything?

Japanese language instruction could branch off into areas like “proper use of keigo,” scientific/medical Japanese, or Japanese for business.

“Guides to living in Japan” is even broader. Currently online there are survival guides for exchange students, international students, language teachers (J.E.T. comes to mind) and even general guides.

From my experiences searching deep into the Japan-related content online, this is one category that  has been “attempted” often. I say attempted because there are many sites that set out to teach Japanese or sites that set out to guide people through everyday life in Japan but how many actually cover the topic in depth?
