
Toyota Motor Co. will build a 2nd assembly plant in Russia's St. Petersburg.
After completion, Toyota will be the largest automaker in Russia, passing up General Motors in terms of local production.
Toyota also wants to use the plant as an export base.
The plant will roll out the RAV4, Corolla and Yaris.
Cars will be transported across Russia's trans-Siberian railway.
Russia's auto market grew by 34% over last year. Toyota is number three, for now, behind GM and Ford.
Meanwhile - Inax Corp., maker of tile and bathroom units, will start marketing its products in India and Dubai in 2008.
In India, Inax will team up with H.&R. Johnson (India) Ltd., that country's No. 1 tile supplier.
The Sharaf Group in Dubai will be the Dubai partner.
Inax sales are up 12% this year. And a three-fold growth in foreign sales is eyed by 2010.
