
It's been a long time since Toyota opened a new car assembly plant in Japan.
The Central Motor Co, a subsidiary of Toyota, announced it will build a new car plant in Sendai, north of Tokyo along the Pacific coast.
The Japanese auto market is stagnant...there's only so many cars that can fit into the small country.
But, Toyota's worldwide sales continues to grow.
Honda is opening its first new plant in Japan in more than 30 years by 2010.
