The European Union wants Japan and 132 other countries to join the 60 or so that want to abolish the death penalty.
Fat chance of that....
Some 27 European Union Nations have a resolution they would like to pass at the UN General Assembly's committee on human rights.
No way...
In fact, I can think of 11 alternatives to hanging... which is what Japan does.
Gosh, I wonder if the EU has any other guidelines they would like to impose on the justice systems of the world.
People die unjustly (yeah, I hope it is not me) with the death penalty...but the deterrent is more valuable than the lapses in the judicial system.
