
Toyota Motor Corp. said its domestic production is up 3.3% over last year.
Overseas production was up 11.9%. In China production was up 45%.
Nissan Motor said their production was up 10.1% on the year with strong sales of the Infiniti G35 and Rogue the big contributers.
Mazda Motor Corp says domestic production is up 2.0% due partly to strong sales of the redesigned Mazda2 compact model.
Overseas out put, however, fell 20.6%...due to the company, which is the
Japanese affiliate of Ford Motor Co, having stopped producing the Familia and Premacy models in China.
Mitsubishi Motor Corp said their domestic production soared 34.7% largely due to demand of new models headed overseas - the Lancer headed to Russia and North America and the Outlander headed to the U.S., Europe and China.
The gain is the 11th consecutive month. Exports were up 63.9%.
Meanwhile, GM saw its workers head back to the assembly lines with a union vote still pending.
