Japanese men, or their wives, are buying more clothes..ties, suits and airconditioned shirts.
Domestic sales of menswear rose 1.2% to 2.8 trillion..the second consecutive year of gain.
The government's "Cool Biz" campaign that has encouraged workers since 2005 to wear casual clothing at the office during the summer to fight the global warming monster.
(How many ways can companies think of to make money off of a non existent
phenomenon?)
At any rate…middle-aged and older men started showing more interest in clothing.

In my 20 years in Japan, I NEVER bought one article of mens' clothing.
I am too big.
Wait…maybe I bought a sweat suit or two…Double O size, or something like that.
