For the first time ever, more than half of Japanese want their wives to get a job (52%).
In 1979, 72% of Japanese were in favor of their wives staying at home and only 20% were against the idea.
46% of men are against the idea of women staying home and 57% of women are against the idea.
Those in their 40s were most opposed (59%), while those in their 70's saw just
38% against the idea of the missus hanging around the idea.In short...the men are feeling a new for some help and the women are wanting to oblige by joining the work force.
However...85% of respondents in the survey says the wife should still prepare meals.
Uh...because the men are bad cooks?
I don't think so.
