Government Mulls Daylight Savings Time….AGAIN…in Face of Global Warming
Well….maybe, just maybe, the global warming monster can do some good.
Japan's environment and trade ministries have to decided AGAIN to discuss introducing daylight savings time in Japan, as part of an effort to reduct the nation's greenhouse gas emissions.
The Environment Ministry and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry thinks drastic measures are necessary if Japan is to fulfill its pledge under the Kyoto Protocol.
"Summertime" as it is called in Japan may be a way to counter global warming.
Or, they could just ignore the hype.
In the summer, it gets bright outside as early as 4 am….then dark at 7:30pm.
In the winter, it can start getting dark before 6pm.
I think Japan ought to not just consider employing Daylight Savings Time…but maybe the whole country should just change to a different time zone….
What do you think?
