Yasuo Fukuda has not been appointed as Prime Minister of Japan....yet.
But Japan's business leaders are already pressing him to implement structural reform.
The chairman of the Japan Business Federation, (Keidanren) said in a statement, ''The new (LDP) president is a man of action and superior judgment and has a strong willingness for reform.''
The chairman of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives, also expressed hope that Fukuda would make an all-out effort to continue economic reform.
The head of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, asked the new PM to narrow economic gaps between urban areas and the countryside...and to effect
reforms that will benefit small and midsize firms.
Fukuda will take over on Tuesday.
Do you think the PM makes a substantial difference in the way business is run?
