
Toyota Boshoku Corp will build a new auto interior plant in Mississippi.
The plant will supply products to a sport utility vehicle plant that Toyota Motor Corp. is building there.
Toyota Boshoku will spend $80 million on the new facility, a 31,000 square meter plant.
Seats, door trim and floor carpeting will be made for the Highlander SUV which will be built some 25 miles to the northwest of Fulton.![]()
Some 500 people will get jobs that will generate more than $200 million in sales annually.
Toyota gets a lot of good will and will make some money.
The seat plant will be in operation around 2010 under the wholly owned subsidiary of Toyota Boshoku Mississippi LLC.
