just in time for the Country Music Awards, Toshiba Corp will release a new version of its Gigabeat line of portable MP3 players that can connect to wireless LAN (local area network) connections.
The Gigabeat T401 is the first of its kind in Japan.
It will allow users to use online audio file distribution services, language programs, news content from Yahoo Japan Corp and Nifty Corp without connecting to
a personal computer....and if played backwards while listening to the Country Music Awards, people everywhere will get their mobile homes back, their wives back and out of jailThe device, roughly the size of a fat credit card, can also store and play music and videos transferred from a PC in its 4 gigabyte flash memory.
The price - 29,800 yen ($250ish)
