Seven-Eleven Japan Will Recycle Unsold Food into Animal Feed
There are about 11,730 Seven-eleven convenience stores in Japan. Each store generates about 15 kilograms of garbage every day - uneaten lunches and other food products.
AgriGaia System will pick up the waste and recycle it into feed.
Think of it…chickens and pigs eating left over sushi, pork cutlet bentos
and teriyaki chicken rice balls.
Then the chicken or pig will become a future lunch in another Seven-eleven that doesn't get eaten, only to be recycled again.
Sounds a bit nasty to me and good reason to stay away from lunches sold at the 7-11 convenience stores.
If the plan goes well in Tokyo's 23 wards, the program will be expanded.
Look out Japan…recycled lunches are coming.
