Japan's Nintendo Co is on a roll.
With sales of its Wii beating the socks off of Sony's PS3 and the Xbox 360 and all other comers, the company has money to play with and ideas to make available more Wii products so their new customers have more to play with, too.
The Wii console can connect to the Internet. Nintendo will make puzzle games and educational software available for download and priced below
1,000 yen ($8-9ish).Eventually, the lineup will be expanded to action games and other genres.
Sony Computer Entertainment Inc and Microsoft Corp already offer online distribution of games. But...they don't have all the new customers, women, kids and older folks, to sell games to. And, we all know, new and happy customers are the most eager to buy something new to make them happier.
Nintendo knows it all too well.
