
Mitsubishi Corp announced a tie-up with the major Indonesian oil and gas company PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk to the tune of 40 billion yen ($370 milish).
Mitsubishi purchased 39.4% of Encore Energy which owns 50% of Medco.
Mitsubishi and Medco are working on an LNG
project with production beginning in 4 years.Alpine Electronics Inc is ramping up its car and audio system sales in Asia by establishing a regional headquarters in Bangkok.
The company is in charge of sales outside of China.
As Japanese car companies grow throughout Asia, so do the suppliers of all the goodies that adorn the Japanese cars.
Alpine is also eyeing dealerships in Southeast Asia, India and the Middle East.
Nissan plans to quintuple vehicle output in Brazil and double its dealerships in the next two years in the South American country.
Investments in its plant operated by Renault SA will be about $150 million.

In one of the few areas of the world where Japanese car makers are playing catch up with America's General Motors and Ford Motor Co, Honda is also planning to double Brazilian output.
In about 10 years...American cars will be playing catchup.
Japan's domestic market for cars may be saturated...but there is plenty of room for growth overseas.
