More than two in five hang out at home taking care of chores - laundry and cleaning up. Just one in three did so seven years ago.
Japanese twenty somethings have about 64,400 yen ($550) in disposable income each month, also up 4000 yen from seven years ago. However, what they like to do with their money the most (36%) is save.
So, what's up with that?
