Passenger liner cruises in Japan are growing in popularity among the Japanese.
Some 177,000 passengers went on domestic and international cruises last year UP 13.1% from the year before.
Of those, 92,000 were domestic cruisers...up 16.4%.
Popular destinations were the Baltic Sea and Northern Europe, Asia and the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas....all places I'd love to go
cruising to.Business is expected to grow even more in 2007.
The Asuka 2 was commissioned last year...Japan's newest.
I have been on a couple of cruises and can absolutely think of no better way to travel, hands down.
Your food is prepared, your bed is ready, shows happen and each morning you wake up in a different country withOUT having to go through all the customs nonsense.
What can be better than that?
