It's what Japan does best....improve on existing models, types, products, services.
If someone/s come up with an idea, Japan can often and usually does make it better...then mass produces it more efficiently.
Japan's Internal Affairs and Communications Ministry wants $70 million to build an organization that will have businesses, academia and government working together to build a new technology for a new generation of network that will replace the Internet.
The 2G Internent will
be
1. faster
2. more reliable
3. less susceptible to viruses and breakdowns.
Japan wants to take the lead in developing post-Internet technology and setting global standards AND have it ready for commercial use by 2020.
If anybody can do it...Japan can.
I wonder...can they make it available for free, too?
