Japan vs. Georgia in Little League World Series (LLWS) Final - Ryo Kanekubo vs Dalton Carriker

by BBelew57 on August 25th, 2007

Japan's Little League World Series (LLWS) team will play the United States Champion Team from Warner Robins, Georgia.

Georgia's Dalton Carriker struck out the final batter to clinch the win for the United States team

Ryo Kanekubo smacked a grand slam in the bottom of the sixth on a 2-2 pitch to win  a second game in a row on a home run for Japan and to put the future Ichiros and Dice-Ks into the final game.

Japan claimed the International title.

The final game will be played on Sunday and hopes are high that the parents from both sides of the big pond will behave.

If the old addage…good pitching always beats good hitting…then the Georgia team might have the edge.

Go, Nippon!
