German Study - Japan 7 - Europe 3 in Green Cars

by BBelew57 on August 16th, 2007

The VCD, or Verkehrsclub Deutschland, wants to be an environmentally-minded alternative to Germany's main automobile club, ADAC, not to be confused with AC-DC.

The VCD published a study - Japanese cars are the most environmentally friendly.

France has two - the Citroen and Peugeot.

Germany has one - the Volkswagen Polo Blue Motion.

The other seven among the top ten - Daihatsu, Honda, Mazda and T

oyota all scored the best in fuel consumption and exhaust emissions tests as wellvw.polo.blue.motion.jpg as were among the quietest.

Even Japanese carmakers' rivals recognize their superiority.

Which carmaker/country will be the next to seriously challenge Japanese quality?

And, how long will it take to get there?
