The global warming monster is rearing his ugly head AGAIN in Japan, temps are above 40C (104F) again today. The monster last appeared in 1933 with temps one-tenth of a degree cooler.
Japan, however, can't/won't be beat.
Workers are wearing air-conditioned jackets at the office.
Two small fans get sewn into the back of each jacket and are powered by a pocket-sized rechargeable battery pack...preferably not
lithium-ion which have a tendency to overheat thus defeating the purpose. The fan's circulate air across the wearer's skin evaporating perspiration which was there to help keep him cool in the first place.
The cool air does keep body temps down AND the wearer's clothes from being stained by sweat.
Of course, women will never wear them because they are not very becoming,
"Oh, don't you think this makes me look fat?" asked Hanako as she sucked in her gut.
