Make that 4 Stupid Ways Japanese Have Found to Throw Money Away

by BBelew57 on July 29th, 2007

Somebody left bundles of money on several occasions in public men's restrooms of city buildings.

Somebody else threw several thousand off a bridge and let it rain down.

Yet another numbskull threw $80kish out with the garbage.

Today…money showed up in the mailboxes of 18 household all in the same condominium building - totally 1.81 million yen ($15kish).

Somebody came home and found a large amount of money in her mailbox…thenmoney.garbage.jpg called the police.

Perhaps she was afraid somebody would come collecting later on.

The giver put various numbers 10, 11 and 12, of 10,000 yen notes in mailboxes on the first floor of the condo building, then

took off.

How is it, I wonder, that all 18 people called the police to notify them someone was being nice.

I wonder how many people didn't come clean. 1.81 million is NOT a round number, is it?

If someone left a thousand bucks in your mailbox, would you call it in?
