Doraemon Takes Shanghai

It just goes to show you that you don't have to be 20 stories tall and have scales to take a city.

With cat like features, but no ears or fingers, it can still be done.

Doraemon is one of Japan's world popular cartoon characters. He also now has a theme park going on in Shanghai at the Shanghai East Asia Exhibition Hall.

It is tough to resist Doraemon's magic pocket - with the go-anywhere-door and copter hats and….the memory machine for his friend Nobita.

Nobita, Jyian and Dorami are hanging out with Doraemon in Shanghai while he drums up money, er,

popluarity.

Doraemon already has hundreds of manga volumes, cartoon TV sitcome and even a few movies. Oh…and stuffed animals…I have one on my desk.

Soon, the little robotic cat will be doing it all in another language..Chinese.
