Japan’s Jobless Rate at 9-year low, household spending up

by BBelew57 on July 31st, 2007

"Japan's jobless rate fell to its lowest in more than nine years and household spending inched up in June."

Japan's unemployment rate is 3.7%. Basically, the people who don't have a job don't want a job.

The unemployment rate hasn't been that low since Feb. 1998.beijing.symbol.jpg

Equally important to the Japanese domestic economy is consumer spending going up.

It has increased for the past six straight months.

"The economy's recovery trend is firm," Japan's Economy Minister says.

However, the Japanese can look to the DPJ taking over and messing things up.

Time will tell.
