Mitsubishi Motors Losing Less Money
I wish I could lose ONLY $69.6 million and feel good about it.
Mitsubishi Motors, on the strength of good sales in North America, Europe and Asia (where else is there?) is sinking less faster than before.
In 2000, Mitsubishi Motors which is part the broader Mitsubishi Group which makes
1. aircraft
2. cell phones
acknowledged the company had covered up auto defects for more than 20 years.
In 2004, despite a ton of recalls, Mitsubishi confessed
the company had not come completely clean.
Even before that the company was involved in sexual harassment lawsuits and seeing their executives arrested on charges for paying of racketeers.
The worst, however, may be behind them. Last year the company turned a profit for the first time in three years and losses this year were less than those during the same time last year.
